Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada
N4 was designed using the senior village model, although with an intergenerational approach, to link people and organizations for exchanging services with support and engagement to grow strong and healthy communities. N4 serves all citizens living in Northern Nevada.
N4 fosters the sharing of information and resources between neighbors to nurture a helpful, caring community utilizing:
Time Exchange- where neighbors help one another and earn time credits that can be used to receive needed services from any other member. In the time exchange, everyone's time is equal no matter what the service. Exchanges include, but are not limited to, transportation, household tasks, yard maintenance, errands, tutoring, workshops, pet care, elder care, business services, etc. The possibilities are limitless!
Volunteer opportunities- include helping with rides and service exchanges, event coordinating, community outreach, conducting workshops, grant writing, translation, or IT assistance.
Information & Referral- that uses an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to learn about other community programs and services to link people to existing resources.
Social Program- not only connects people to more services, but also to more people. N4 believes in getting together to share, learn, and be a part of a positive community! Members meet-up at local restaurants, community events, workshops, potlucks, and more.
Coming Soon! Community Care Program matches individuals with trained staff to receive in-home, and community-based, intermittent support. Services include respite for family caregivers, companionship, recreational and social activities, and non-medical help in the home. N4 prioritizes individualized support to help people stay active and engaged with their community.
